Frequently Asked Questions

Below are a few questions we regularly get asked, if there is anything else you would like to know just phone or email.

How much does a Hog Roast cost?

Prices vary depending on how many you are looking to cater for, location and what you want in your package. We are very flexible and can put together a package to suit you. If you want a hog or lamb roast for 50 or 500 people, if you want disposable plates and cutlery or crockery, if you want a traditional, Jamaican, Brazilian or American rub on your hog. We even have our own Mr Delicious sound system so can provide DJ and music as well. Contact us and we'll give you an all inclusive quote.

Can you cook indoors?

We usually cook the hog outside in the 'Hogmaster' but are able to cook inside in a well ventilated area. We can serve wherever you want its up to you.

Do you cook everything on site?

When you are roasting slow cooked pork for 12 hours it isnt viable to do the whole cooking process on site. We cook off site then finish the hog for the final 1-2 hours at your venue, raising the heat in the final stages of the cooking process for that perfect crackling.

How far do you travel?

We will work anywhere, outside of Sussex will incur additional travel costs.

How long do you serve for?

We normally find that a 2 hour service period is long enough for your guests to be fed and return for seconds. If there is any meat left this will be put on platters along with any remaining rolls, salads etc.

How much space do you need?

Our gazebo is 3m by 3m so this would be the ideal space for us to work in. All our equipment including the roasting machine will fit through a standard doorway.

Do we need to provide anything?

We will bring everything including serving tables. Our equipment is all gas powered but we may need a power supply if your event is in the evening/night and we need lighting. Our Mr Delicious Sound System also needs power if you have booked music as well.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, we require a deposit of £200 for hog roast bookings and £50 for machine hire. Once this is paid the date is secured for you. The balance is due 14 days before your event/machine hire. Please note deposits are non-refundable.
